AGRIBUSINESS | Main Page

The AgriDataBase, compiled by RCI with the collaboration of other USAID-funded projects in Southeast Europe, is meant to encourage business linkages and regional cooperation. It presents a searchable list of agricultural producers and processors, as well as country and regional information of a general nature.

Study Tour

RCI is discussing with regional stakeholders the idea of organizing joint study tours to best practices countries.  These Study Tours could be for the development and sustainability of agribusiness associations or train the trainer Study Tours to develop local capacity on EU Accession project development and implementation.

Regional Agribusiness Roundtables

On a regular basis, RCI organizes regional meetings to discuss issues, present solutions for the challenges and share best practices in agribusiness.

Regional Agribusiness Information Sharing

Specific areas:

  1. Regional / Global Experts in Agribusiness

(RCI would like to develop a list of regional and global experts that have specific agribusiness experiences and have had positive experiences in the region or EU.)

  1. Agribusiness Research

(RCI will periodically conduct research on specific agribusiness topics decided by the regional group, for the use of the USAID Missions and projects.)

  1. Quality Standards

(RCI would like to assist with regional best practices in the area of quality standards, by using experienced regional experts to building local capacity within each country and the whole region.)

  1. EU Accession

(RCI would like to assist with regional best practices in the area of EU Accession within the public and private sector and more specifically to develop, fund and implement successful EU projects, by building local capacity within each country and the whole region.)
